Empty Feast is about wasted effort. A feast should feel like a celebration, but the table is full while the person sitting at it still feels empty. I used myself as the character reference for the first time, which made the image personal without forcing me to explain every private detail behind it. I built the drawing with Micron pen, using stippling, hatching, and cross-hatching. The background was the most tedious part because I covered nearly the entire space with 0.03 Micron dots. That slow process became part of the meaning. An extreme amount of effort went into filling the image, but none of that abundance fixes the person inside it. The work looks full, yet the main feeling is still absence.
