Dancer's Eyes is about the love and conflict I feel with dance. I used a photograph of my own eyes as a reference. One eye reflects a female dancer and the beauty and grace people usually connect with dance. The other reflects a male dancer. I made that side of the face darker because being a male dancer can sometimes make me feel separated from the dance world around me. I wanted the face to look calm at first, but feel more divided the longer someone looks at it.
