Faces of Judgment was my first real experiment with strong black shadows. I repeated my own face because I wanted the judgment to feel like it was coming from inside me, not only from other people. I first planned to make the background completely black, but it looked too flat. I changed it into a looser fade so the faces would push out of the darkness. I used a fineliner pen, stippling, and solid black shapes to make the faces look sharper and more accusing.
