Hidden Life is about how someone can look ordinary on the outside while having a beautiful and complicated life inside. The ground above the well is empty, but a tree and its roots are hidden below it. I repeated the bricks around the well while keeping the circular perspective believable. I used stippling, linework, scumbling, and hatching to make the brick, soil, roots, and tree feel different from each other.
