This comic page was created during the 2026 KCAI Illustration Pre-College ArtLab from a five-panel script. I was given the action and dialogue, but I had to decide the panel sizes, camera angles, character placement, and overall composition. The hardest problem was fitting the entire sequence into five panels while keeping the characters consistent. I focused heavily on the environment and small details, but after finishing the page, I realized I had pushed that detail too far. Some areas became so dense that they slowed down the reading of the action. That mistake taught me something important about comic illustration: adding more does not always make the page stronger. Detail has to support the sequence, and sometimes control matters more than how much I can draw.
