John is a thought provoking ceramic sculpture with a wheel-thrown base and a lovingly hand-built head, face, and toes. This piece's richness in meaning is too vast to describe in text. It was created with intent to disturb. I want people to look at the long neck, strange face, and gripping toes and think, “Wow. That's weird.” I learned to use the wheel while throwing the base.
