Moles Underground shows a flower above the ground and the bulb and moles living below it. I wanted to show the hidden part of the plant instead of only the flower. The moles make the underground section feel like a small environment rather than an empty space. I hand-built the flower, bulb, walls, and animals, then glazed and kiln-fired them. The hardest part was glazing the moles inside the small space without smearing glaze on the walls.
